About AudioKit

AudioKit is a small, focused set of audio tools for the everyday jobs that normally require installing software: trimming a voice memo, joining two tracks, converting a stubborn file, making a quiet recording audible. Everything runs inside your browser.

Why we built it this way

Most online audio converters ask you to hand a private file to a stranger’s server and trust that it gets deleted. For a podcast draft, a legal recording, or a medical note, that trade is a bad one. Modern browsers can decode, filter and re-encode audio on their own, so we removed the server entirely.

The practical result is that your files never leave your device. You can load a page, switch off your Wi-Fi, and keep working — which is the simplest possible proof that nothing is being sent anywhere.

Privacy by architecture

AudioKit has no file server, so there is no upload step to disable and no copy to delete. Your audio is read into browser memory, processed there, and discarded when you close the tab. That is a structural guarantee, not a promise.

Free, without a catch

No account, no watermark, no daily limit, no “pro” tier hiding the useful buttons. The tools are funded by optional donations so they stay available to everyone, including students and small creators.

Fast because it is local

Processing runs on your own CPU through WebAssembly, so a five-second trim is finished in about five seconds. There is no queue, no upload time, and the site does not slow down when it is busy.

Simple on purpose

Each tool does exactly one job and explains itself. We would rather ship six tools that anyone can use without reading a manual than one editor with a hundred unlabelled sliders.
